Woodworking In America - Weekend

I spent the weekend at Woodworking In America 2014 in the SAPFM booth helping out.  I had a great time meeting new members of SAPFM. And hopefully inviting a few new members.
Ken Johnson was in charge of the booth.  And I got a picture of him here demonstrating my Sandusky 119 plow plane.
The fellow to his right was from Taiwan, so I don't think he will become a member.

We had some furniture on display.  Freddy Roman's beautiful dresser, and of course my Goddard Card Table.

Mary May was across the aisle from us and I was able to get her to create a Twitter account this weekend.  So now she is part of the 21st century.  ;-) Watch for her posts.
I am going on vacation for a couple of weeks, so not much going on here for a while.
Catch you later.

  1. I followed the coverage all weekend long. It really made me miss attending the conference. I was able to do some teaching though at the Avon Lake Library - so all was not lost. Your table looks right at home next to Freddy Roman's. Kudos to you David. I really gotta get over to your shop to say hello. We at Cleveland Pickle a few weeks ago and I drove by the house on the way home. I would've stopped in but I had my 4-year old and wife (they just don't get it).

  2. Looks like everyone had an incredible time, really sad I missed it. I won't miss it next year though! If you got Mary May to create a Twitter account maybe I can convince you to make an Instagram account? There's an incredible community of woodworkers on there who would love your work and really appreciate your knowledge. It's also great because you can share a quick picture from your shop and what you're working on more often and really easily.

    1. Luke, thanks for the comment. I look into creating an Instagram account.
